Mathematical Data Science Lab
Data science is a vibrant discipline that spans areas of Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, and Mathematics. The techniques developed can then be applied to almost all disciplines that require or desire to make data-informed decisions. While there is an abundance of techniques for processing and analyzing data, there are many types of experiments and resulting data that still need new techniques to be explored. The Mathematical Data Sciences Lab (MDSL) explores new data processing and mathematical and statistical analysis techniques that are mathematically rigorous and applicable to real-world problems.

The COVID-19 outbreak of 2020 has required many governments to develop and adopt mathematical-statistical models of the pandemic for policy and planning purposes.
This paper investigates a validation process in order to assess the predictive capabilities of a single degree-of-freedom oscillator.
