Chris Fink is the chair of the Fashion Design program at VCUarts Qatar. His areas of research and interest include sustainability in fashion, the growth of the fashion industry in Qatar, and trends in merchandising and retail. He has been instrumental in developing EcoLux Lab, a digital and highly interactive education experience for VCUQ students that focuses on sustainability in the luxury fashion industry.
Fink has been an international creative director in premium design, global fashion, and apparel markets in the USA (New York and Los Angeles), China, Russia, India, Hong Kong, Qatar, Dubai, Japan, Madrid, Milan, and London. He has more than 25 years of experience in creative leadership in the international apparel industry, a master’s degree in creative team leadership, and a successful history of substantial financial growth for companies within the fashion industry. Fink wants to save the planet and embrace health and wellness for mankind with the desire to help his fellow planet dwellers.
