Widad Mohammed received her BSc in Secondary Education in Chemistry in 2019 and M.S. in Material Science and Technology in 2022 from Qatar University under the co-supervision of Dr. Saoud. She joined the Nanotechnology and nanotextile lab as a research assistant in 2023. Before joining VCUarts Qatar, Widad worked as a Graduate Research Assistance Material Science and Technology Department and Biomedical Research Center (BRC), at Qatar University, and as a science teacher, at Al-Wajba secondary school. Widad has an excellent research experience and skills in various fields, such as anti-bacterial tests in dark and light using dilutions, suspension method, desk method, measuring absorbance, autoclave, bacterial cultures, preparing solid media by using agar in plates and liquid media by using LB Broth, preparation, and characterization of bimetallic metal oxides photocatalysts using, the co-participation method, measuring degradation of methylene blue and other organic dye compounds on the sample by using UV-spectrophotometer, preparing mesoporous silica nanoparticles by using different techniques, and characterization techniques.
