Student Research Assistant, (IN)›Tangible Lab

Student, VCUarts Qatar

Maha Almarri, a 2023 graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design from VCUQ. Maha’s journey led her to the (IN)>TANGIBLE_LAB, where she became a Research Assistant for the Mapping Migration Memories project. This project, close to her heart, involves collecting and preserving the rich memories and oral histories of Qatari migrations.  Maha states that “as the world embraces change, our cultural heritage often faces the risk of fading away. At the (IN)>TANGIBLE_LAB, we're driven by the mission to protect these intangible treasures, celebrating diversity and human creativity”. Her role did not just involve research; for her it was about translating cherished memories into tangible forms that resonate with the soul.
