Asma Derouiche is a product designer and interdisciplinary student who graduated with an MFA from VCUarts in Qatar. She has a passion for Art and Crafts. Her skills in model making using various mediums like slip casting and resin casting have taken a major role in her current research towards bridging the gap between designers and craftsmen in Doha, Qatar She taught Design Principles at primary schools in Tunisia for 2 years and Materials and Methods at a Design University which developed her passion for teaching and advancing her crafts. She was formerly researching and investigating "Made in Qatar” products, trying to find ways to leverage local crafts by Design.
